The shorts activities

Last Wednesday we were showing the shorts and then all the groups were making activities about the shorts. Each group had 2 o 3 activities, and we all brought food. 

I think all the activities were so funny, it was the last activity of the year. I like to much the shorts, all were very well done.

The Oscars

The Oscars is an annual American awards ceremony honoring cinematic achievements in the film industry.
A lot of famous actors and actress attend the ceremony every year.
The ceremony is watched around the world by people of many countries.
There are a lot of categories, for example, best picture, best directing, best actor in a leading role, best actress in a leading role, best costume design, best visual effects, best original song...
It's so exciting!


We have done a short, so we are going to celebrate our own Oscars on Friday.
We must wear a dress (the girls) or a suit (the boys).
The categories of our Oscars will be like the original Oscars, but we are going to add new categories, for example: best grades, best hair, best dress or suit...
I think it will be so funny and thrilling!

                  THE ROARING TWENTIES 

Few days ago we made an interesting class about the roaring twenties, the age we remember as a time of party, smoking cigarettes, and drinking alcohol, with their beautiful skirts.

We have learnt things like they used to listen jazz with a special quiz that the teacher gave us.

And we have seen a little piece of the film "The Great Gatsby" settle into the roaring twenties and it was such a good film, but now I want to see the whole film because the part we saw was very interesting!

Relax Class

Today in class of practical english we have done a class  of relaxation for all those who went to class where we should put ourselves lying above the table, at the table we had to lie still while lying once received instructions from the teacher so relaxing we entered the class until the timbre.Personalmente sono. I liked this class.

Love at first sight

Good afternoon!
Today I'm talking about my point of view of what we did yesterday in class, the theme of love.
I think love at the first sight really exist, what about you?
Some people opinions are that love at the first sight only exist in superficial people, is it true?
I don't think so.

EXOTIC CULTURES

This time we've dealt with exotic cultures. We've started with the Chinese New Year which was celebrated on the 19th February and other remote tribes around the world.

Chinese New Year

Beginning is given to the Chinese New Year! It is the year 4713 according to the Chinese calendar and be under the influence of the goat until February 7, 2016.

The goat represents honesty and sincerity, even shyness, so it costs you express your true emotions and is hard to find what happens inside. Under the influence of this animal people born in 1967; 1979; 1991; 2003 and 2015.

Harmonious relationship: Horse, Pig, Tiger, Rabbit, Cat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Snake.
Difficult relationship: Rat, Ox and Dragon.

There are many legends to explain the origin of the Chinese zodiac. One of the most popular, that the Emperor Jade organized a race to determine which animals would be considered in the zodiac, with the order of arrival as follows: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig.

Rituals and customs

-Clean your house and decorate your surroundings.

-It is customary to distribute red envelopes with good wishes.

-Decorate the rooms with red and yellow flowers symbolizing good health.

-Tie you a ribbon with 3 knots in your wrist will be useful to get rid of everything negative.

               

Gastronomy to receive Chinese New Year

-Gallina Pachikay: is chicken and egg represents the cycle of life. It is accompanied with two fruits: tangerine and orange. The orange color symbolizes good feelings and nobility.

-Rice symbolizes abundance.

-The noodles represent longevity.

-The pig symbolizes the festivity of change to get the Chinese Year.

-Vegetables are other foods that can not miss

in this special banquet in order to achieve balance and harmony that nature provides.

Valentine's day

Well, las monday we was talking about valentine's day and we saw a nice video what is who spoke about two people who lived separated apart and the man tries to fix it but she rejects. Finally they reconciled. I recommend watching these two videos , the first we saw in class and the second is one of my favorites.

Role changing!

On Wednesday 11th February, we had an unusual class.
For once, we (the students) were the teachers. We were able to experience how it feels to teach a group of eight students. María put us in three groups of six and each one had to teach some facts about Shakespeare to the 2nd ESO students. Each person had their own text to say.
Our objective was to have a good time and to ensure that the students gained some knowledge of Shakespeare in a fun way. We were only allowed to speak in English.
At first, we felt quite uncomfortable and nervous. We weren't sure who exactly was going to be in our special class; and we didn't know if they would understand the vocabulary or if it was going to be over their heads.
In my group, we did several games: hangman with names of Shakespeare's plays; drawing something on the blackboard and they had to write what it was and say from which Shakespeare play it came from; and a game in which they had to match the name of the character with the play (photo in the post). The pupil who got it right received a sweet as a prize.
At the end of the class we gave them all a paper ball so they could throw it at us just like the audience did in the open theatres in Shakespeare's time. That was funny...for them!

Last Friday, we talked about the Shakespeare exhibition that we made on Wednesday.
After that, we saw an episode of Modern Family, a TV show very famous around the world. It was our teacher's treat! I think all the class loved it, because it's so funny.

In the last minutes of the class, we talked about other exhibitions that we can make. We joined in groups and we discussed about themes to present in a exhibition. Finally, we agreed to explain things about books, because on April will be the Book Day. We'd like to do an exhibition, plays, storytelling for some kids in a school nearby.

Talking about Shakespeare

In last monday class we talked about Shakespeare and how the writers worked, we were organized in groups, and later we took a paper with information of the historical bakground at shakespeare time.
We had to make a summary and explain it to the rest of the class. We also talked about conspiranoc theories about Shakespeare, one of them says that he doesn't exist and he is a groupe of men, because any of his sings coincide, later we talked about the trip to see a exposition about Shakespeare, an the expositio we must do about him.

Shakespeare Exhibition

The 28th of january we go to an excursion to see the life of Shakespeare, his plays, and his theather. We go to the Plaza de la Virgen, and it's a wonderful place in valencia, in the theather two sympathetic guides, guided us for an exibishion of Shakespeare.

This it's the most ugle picture of Shakespeare, because the perspective its so bad, he have one eye more big than the other one, the mouth its strange, a lot of things

The extracurricualr out, was so intresting, but i think it was for a kids, because in the end of the out we're go to draw.

 Working about Shakespeare

 

The first part of the class Maria gave us some comics of the most famous plays of Shakespeare.

We had to write the main themes, characters and the plot of the history.
We have found that the stories of Shakespeare, are full of revenge, love and mystery. I think they are very entertaining and interesting.

Here i put some of the works we have done in class.

And at the end of the class, We have divided in groups to start prepare oral

I really like my group and although I am a little nervous about speaking in front

of many people, I hope to do great! 

First kiss

Good afternoon, it's my turn to write here and I would like to rise the issue of love because we have been talking about Shakespeare in the lasts classes and now all of us know that he was a writer that wrote a lot of plays and poems about love. But there is one thing that none of us know for sure. There is a theory that says he was probably gay, so when I talk about love I mean the love between woman and men, woman and woman or man with an other man.
This experiment show the reaction of peoaple when they have to kiss each other in the first time they met, it's interesting and I want you to see it.

In the previous class, we made a work for the radio of the high school, in which the work consisted in creating a news report and explain the recent events in France, and in turn also a debate if it is better the free expression or the respect of the religions.

When all the news reports were ready, we recorded them as podcasts and we listened to them in class, then we choose what was the best podcast with votes and the winner got to publish it in the school's radio.
